The story is true, not legend or fable
Though it happened a long time ago.
A baby was born in a dusty stable,
And the brightest star began to glow.
Angels sang “Glory to God in the Highest”
Shepherds looked on with wonder and awe.
In the dark of night when all was the quietest,
A miracle birth broke nature’s law.
The Savior was born but the world didn’t know
Most people slept on ‘til night was done.
But far in the East, wise men saw a bright glow
And they followed the star to God’s Son.
By Ann Ward
It was an ordinary day and the girl went about her normal activities. Beginning early in the morning she helped her mother with cooking, cleaning and sewing. Her parents were proud of this daughter, not only for her help at home but also for her sweet disposition.
Some day soon she would be doing these things in a home of her own. Just the thought of her future husband brought a smile to her lips. He was a good man and would provide well for her and the children she dreamed they would be blessed with. It was hard to keep her mind on the chores at hand.
But, this day things were about to change. In all time, no one else would ever have the same experience.
